Some people just seem to have it together right? They have the perfect paying job, their house is always immaculate, and everything just always seems good! That’s great 🙂 Really it is! But as I came home from church with my four busy boys, less than clean house, and still not having lunch prepared…thoughts of my sweet sister in law ran through my mind “I always keep my house clean.”
Yep…I was immediately pushed to clean my entire house. Then I took a moment and thought while it was great motivation for me, the core of my motivation at that moment was not to be a better me but to become someone else’s idea of perfection.
See I believe that we all have our short comings. None of us are perfect.
Those “perfect” habits that people have should not forge you to unrealistic expectations for yourself but should encourage you to be a better, more authentic person that God has called you to be.
